# Overview

The Trade Portal is a powerful, browser based application that enables your organisations customers to view their Statements, Invoices, Orders and Quotes on their chosen device, any time, anywhere.

In addition you can also make your products available for your customers to order at their price online 24 x 7.

Businesses that have implemented the Trade Portal regularly report:

- Increased customer satisfaction
- Improved debtors collection, and
- Reduced administration overheads

Trade Portal extends your business to your customers to enable them to transact with you when and how they choose 24×7. Never be offline, always be available to service your customers with Trade Portal.

# Trade Portal Functionality

The Trade Portal has 2 main configuration options, Account Only, and full products and Accounts Trade Portal.

Both configuration options include:

- View and email/print customer Quotes and Order
- View and email/print Customer Invoices
- View and email/print customer Statements
- Create and maintain custom lists
- Pay account via payment gateway
- manage account information including logins

The Full Products and Accounts Trade Portal option also includes:

- Product view - including customisable pricing views (trade, retail, etc)
- Add products to shopping 'cart'
- Create and approve quotes
- Place Sales Orders

Additionally, your Trade Portal can also be configured to allow customers to receive customised price books.

<span style="color: #003366">The prerequisites for implementing Trade Portal in your organisation include:</span>

# <span style="color: #003366">Steps to Implement Trade Portal</span>

#### Step 1:  Requirements

- Business Function Function Required: Select your package: Account Only or Products and Accounts
- Technical Requirement: Identify requirements for Trade Portal Refer to  [Trade Portal Server Requirements](https://skb.sterland.com:8443/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=12484771) for more information.

#### Step 2. Agree Scope of Work

- Finalise scope and approve quotation
- Sterland confirm timeline and resources

#### Step 3. Technical Setup

- Sterland to complete technical installation on Trade Portal server. May require Customer's IT services provider to liaise with Sterland.

#### Step 4. Configuration and Setup

#### Step 5. Training & Staff Readiness

- Walkthrough/ handover to customer to complete training and testing of the application.

#### Step 6. Go Live

- Sterland to provide remote support during go live cutover.

#### Step 7. Support & BAU

- Services team to handover to support for ongoing BAU support as per the standard support maintenance agreement.
