If you have your system set up to maintain one or more audit logs on the system, this program will purge the records in each of those log files, up to and including the date specified. If you have all audit logs running on your system with a lot of activity in each area, e.g. customer and supplier maintenance, this purge may need to be run on a more regular basis than most other purges. This will all depend on the amount of available disk space available and the length of time that you need to keep audited records. Manual Process 1. From the  'Main Menu'  select options -  'System Administration' - 'File Purges' - 'Audit Log Purge' . 2. The first screen displays a warning and allows you to key in the date prior to which all audit files will be purged:      This program will permanently delete all AUDIT FILE records with an action date on or prior to the entered date.       Purge Date:   key the date from which audit log files are to be purged.  Any data in the audit files that is dated on or before the date keyed will be deleted in the purge.  This data will no longer be available for enquiry. The message  . . .    Press <F1> to continue, or <F4> to exit . . .  will appear in the function bar.  If you press/click <F1>, the purge will then proceed.  When complete, the program will return you to the File Purges menu. Automatic Process Audit Logs - Sys750.p Refer to Automate File Purges in the System Administration User Guide for further information.
