Attributes  provide the ability to store additional information including extra customer contact details, marketing information and extra product information, either individually or via attribute sets. That is, the actual properties of a product based on chosen definitions. Put simply, attributes are user defined fields. For example, paint may have a colour of red. Red is the attribute. This option is used to to record attributes against Customers, Suppliers and Products that can then be used to define your own reporting categories for Customers, Suppliers and Products and to create NuVu reports. To define and maintain atttributes, perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select ‘ System Administration ’ then ‘ System Set-up ’ then  'Define Attributes ’. 2. The ' Options'  screen is displayed: 3. Select ' Products ' to maintain  Product Attributes  then s elect either <F5> (Delete), a nd/or <F6> (Add) and/or <F7> (Change) to maintain Attributes .  Refer to the 'Products' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options. 4. Select ' Customers ' to maintain  Customer Attributes , then select either <F5> Delete, and/or <F6> (Add)  and/or <F7> (Change) to maintain Attributes .  Refer to the 'Customers' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options. 5. Select ' Customer Contacts ' to maintain  Customer Contact Attributes , then select either <F5> Delete, and/or <F6>   (Add)  and/or <F7> (Change) to maintain Attributes .  Refer to the 'Customer Contacts' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options. 6. Select ' Suppliers ' to maintain  Supplier Attributes , then select either <F5> Delete, and/or <F6>   (Add)  and/or <F7> (Change) to maintain Attributes .   and/or <F7> (Change) to maintain Attributes .
