Note : The information within this section will be hidden before the FAQ is published. QUESTION: INV: How do I reverse a Stock Take? ANSWER: There is a utility program you can run to reverse the stocktake postings processed on certain date.   The fixstake.p utility program can only be run once for a given day and branch. If another stocktake issue arises on the same day, you cannot run this utility. The reason being that the utility does not differentiate between multiple applies of the one stocktake and it will simply reverse all stocktakes that have been applied for the Branch on that given day, therefore a second apply of the fixstake.p utility program will pick up the original apply (that is currently being fixed) and any other applies for the Branch on that day. Run this program after hours to prevent any potential locking issues. To reverse a Stock Take , perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix Menu Menu  select  'System Administration'  then  'Utilities'  then  'Run a Program' . 2. Type program name ' fixstake.p ', then select <enter>. 3. The 'Stock Take Reversal' screen is displayed. 4. Type the ' Branch ' into the ' Which Branch ' field, the ' date ' the stocktake was applied in the ' Stock Take Date' field, then type ' yes ' to reverse the G/L postings in the ' Reverse the G/L ' field, otherwise leave as ' no '. If you type ' yes ', a message is displayed advising he G/L Journal Number. 5. The G/L Journal can then be reviewed and then posted.
