| **PROBLEM:** | Product "ABC" is in a promotion with a special cost of $125.00 and promotional sell of $162.73 showing a Gross Profit of 23.19%.
When we make a sale for this item, ProStix picks up the promotional sell correctly and displays a "P" (pricing method), but applies the standard cost of $246.12 to the sale and gives a warning showing a negative G.P. |
| **CAUSE:** | Promotion set up includes the ability to specify the quantity purchased for a promotion. Once the quantity sold equals or exceeds the purchased quantity,
the product will revert to normal cost rather than the promotional cost. |
| **SOLUTION:** | The solution to the above problem is to:
1. From the **ProStix Main Menu** select '**Inventory Maintenance**' then '**Special Pricing**' then '**Promotion Pricing**'.
2. From the '**Options**' menu select '**Promotions'**.
3. Select the appropriate promotion, then select '**Promotion Details**' from the '**Options**' menu.
4. Select <F7> (Change), then update **'Item Qty'** with the quantity purchased for this promotion. |
