This process explains  how to clear the current stock take records in the file ready for the next stock take.   This program should be run after completing one stocktake and before commencing another. To clear the current stock take records in the file ready for the next stock take, perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Inventory Management'  then  'Stock Control'  then  'Stock Take'  then  'Clear Stock Take Files' . 2. Refer to the 'Clear Stock Cards' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options: 3.The following message appears along the bottom of the screen:   'Proceeding with purge of stock take files ... please wait'  4. When complete you are returned to the Stock Take menu.
