ProStix can run many purge routines automatically overnight to ensure you always have the desired amount of history retained without manual intervention, however not all purge routines have this ability as they better suit a specific business trigger to perform the purge. The automated purge routine works by deleting any data which is older than the retention days specified.  Refer to Data Purges and Archiving Overview and Summary of available Manual and Automatic Purges for further information. The manual purge routines will generally ask for a date to enter, rather than a number of days.   When ProStix is first implemented, none of the automated purges are active, indicated by ' 0 ' in the ' Days to Retain ' field.    To purge files via automated file purges, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'System Administration' then 'File Purges' then 'Automate File Purges'. 2. The 'Automatic File Purges' screen allows you to select the additional files that can be purged. Refer to the ' Automated File Purge options' collapsible link below below for an explanation and description of the options.
