This process explains how to perform location maintenance on a range of products by first scanning the products into a PDE unit then importing the changes. The System Tailoring Code ' PDEBinLoc ' can be set to ' dolphin ' (the default) or ' nippondenso '. An error report will be produced if there are any problems applying the imported location details. To perform location maintenance on a range of products by first scanning the products into a PDE unit then importing the changes, perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Inventory Management' then  ' Stock Control' then 'Import Locations from PDE ' . 2. The 'Import locations from PDE' screen is displayed. Type the appropriate branch number into the 'Branch' field. <F3> Search is available. 3. After typing the branch, if the branch setting ' multiple locations ' is set to ' yes ', you are prompted with the rules that to be applied to the products and locations about to be imported. The 'Rules to Apply to Locations' screen is displayed.  Refer to the ' Rules to Apply to Locations ' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options: 4. If the branch setting 'multiple locations' is set to ' no ' then there is no prompt for the import rules and the import operates as if the option 'Move Current Prime to Alternate' was selected. 5. You are then prompted to put the Dolphin into send mode (option 3 from the sub-menu), or for the Nippondenso , to type a stock location. 6. When you have completed this, select ' yes ' to continue.
