This document should be used in conjunction with Ingenico's 'PC EFTPOS  User Guide'. Refer to website  PC EFTPOS  for further information. Integrated EFTPOS  has been developed in ProStix to provide integration of ProStix Point of Sale with the EFTPOS banking network thus providing faster and more accurate processing of transactions at Point of Sale. Integration is achieved by an interface between ProStix and third party software and hardware from Ingenico Payment Systems,  a bank accredited provider of Integrated EFTPOS functionality. The  Integrated EFTPOS module provides a direct connection from a secure EFTPOS pin-pad to ProStix Point of Sale, and eliminates the need for double keying of transactions at the till. When installed, Integrated EFTPOS runs as an intelligent background process continually monitoring for incoming and outgoing transactions. Combined with the ProStix Management application, Integrated EFTPOS provides a very cost effective and flexible solution to POS needs, greatly improving POS throughput and accuracy. The following diagram illustrates the flow of transactions between ProStix, Ingenico and the Bank:   Using Integrated EFTPOS Accepting payment through EFTPOS is available for any POS Transaction which requires a cash tender at End of Sale. Cash outs are available (if the flag 'PosCashOut' is set to 'yes') on all transactions excluding Cash Refunds and Credit card accounts.
