The  Re-build G/L Name Index  option rebuilds the index for searching through the General Ledger Chart of Accounts. When an account is created, the system analyses the description and creates an index for any word within that account description.   To  rebuild the index for searching through the General Ledger Chart of Accounts, perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix   Main Menu  select  'System Administration'  then  'Utilities'  then  'Re-Build G/L Name Index' . 2. The time it takes to re-build this index is dependent on your processor and the size of the chart of accounts. 3. Select <F1> (Go) to continue or <F4> (Exit) to end the program.
