The PAM Scheduled Tasks option provides a method of summarising sales and purchases figures into the PAM tables, as well as the facility to purge data from those tables to keep the level of data to the minimum required. The minimum required is set by the ' Months Ret ' field in the  PAM Table Maintenance  program. Once defined, the update and purge programs are run on the task scheduler and job processor as an overnight process and can be set to run for a specified number of hours. Both the update and purge options produce a logfile to the output directory defined in your  System Control File .   To summarise sales and purchases figures into the PAM tables and/or purge data from those tables, perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix   Main Menu  select  'System Administration'  then  ' Performance Analysis' then ' PAM Scheduled Tasks' .   2. You are then presented with a screen listing the previously defined scheduled EIS tasks.   3. To add a new Scheduled Task select <F6> (Add). Refer to the 'Add a PAM Scheduled Task' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options: 4. After adding your task, you are prompted to set the recurring schedule. Refer to 'Scheduling Tasks' in the Electronic Trade Module User Guide  for further information.  5. The task will be set to a disabled status. Seleect <F8> (Status) to enable it.  If you want to run the task immediately, select <F9> (Run Now) to initiate it. 6. To  Change a particular scheduled task, highlight the required record then select <F7> (Change).  Make the changes as required (refer to step 3 for field descriptions), then select <F1> to update.  After changing the parameters of your task, you are prompted to set the recurring schedule. Refer to 'Scheduling Tasks' in the Electronic Trade Module User Guide  for further information.  7. To  Delete a particular scheduled task, highlight the required record then select <F5> (Delete), then confirm the selection when prompted.
