The  Re-build Customer Name Index  option rebuilds the index for searching through the Customer Master File. When a customer is created, the system analyses the Customer Name and creates an index for any word within that description that is longer than two letters.   To  rebuild the index  for searching through the Customer Master File , perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix   Main Menu  select  'System Administration'  then  'Utilities'  then  ' Re-Build Customer Name Index ' . 2. The time it takes to re-build this index is dependent on your processor and the size of the chart of accounts. 3. Select <F1> (Go) to continue or <F4> (Exit) to end the program.
