Prostix ETM can communicate with your suppliers via the Timber and Hardware Exchange (T&HE), an internet based file exchange which provides translation and delivery services. ProStix ETM produces XML files which are sent to the T&HE using the Pacific Exchanger software provided by Pacific Commerce who host the exchange. This XML is translated at the exchange and then sent to your supplier. When your suppliers send documents back to you, they are translated back into XML at the exchange so that they can be imported into ProStix. The purpose of this information is to describe the steps involved in setting up your ProStix ETM module to allow you to trade with suppliers using the HIWG standards for electronic commerce and is broken up into the following sections:
