Technical Requirements Critical to the use of the T&HE is communications between your ProStix server and the PC running the Pacific Exchanger (PX) software.  The simplest way to do this is to use a directory sharing product such as samba to share a directory on your ProStix server with the windows PC running PX. The server can then write the XML files into this shared directory where they can be picked up by PX and sent to the exchange. The PC running PX must have a connection to the internet so that it can contact the exchange. The following diagram illustrates this.   Other Requirements Identification of trading partners and locations is done by way of the Global Location Number (GLN) of your branch(s) and your supplier(s). These GLN's need to be sourced from EAN Australia as a pre-requisite of the ETM setup.  R efer to Identification Codes . Identification of the source of files is done by way of a 4 character code assigned to each trading partner by the Timber & Hardware Exchange. Your code and those of your intended trading partners needs to be sourced from the Timber & Hardware Exchange as a pre-requisite of the ETM setup. R efer to Identification Codes .
