This process explains how to maintain the Standard Pricing for a selected product. To change the Standard Pricing for a selected product, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then 'Select Product' . You are presented with a screen with a data entry field for the product code. 2. Select the product, then select 'Cost Pricing' . 3. The 'Costing Values' screen is displayed. You are now able to maintain Cost Pricing. Refer to the 'Cost Pricing' collapsible link below for a screenshot and an explanation of these options: 4. When creating a new product with a zero cost and sell, with a view to using the Expected GP defined for the product group, you should be aware of the ItemRtnGP system tailoring flag. The value of this flag is the default value of a product's Retain GP (Up) flag, which can be viewed (and changed) under the Cost Pricing option. If you change the cost (for example, by creating a supplier cost and opting to reset standard cost), the GP is kept only if Retain GP (Up) is set to 'yes' ; otherwise it keeps the 0.00 sell price and adjusts the GP accordingly.
