This process explains how to create a new pack. Any pack entered into the system through this option is considered to be 'In Transit' and may not be allocated to a Customer Order until it is received to stock. To create a new pack, perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Inventory Management'  then  'Product Maintenance'  then  'Pack Maintenance'  then  'Pre-Define New Pack' . 2. The 'Pre-Define New Pack' screen lists the information required for each Pack. Refer to the 'Pre-Define New Pack' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options: 3. The next screen allows you to type the pack detail information. Refer to the 'Pack Detail' collapsible link for an explanation of these options: 4. A lengths timber tally screen appears next. Refer to the 'Lengths Timber Tally' collapsible link for an explanation of these options: 5. Continue typing any further quantities and lengths that refer to this pack and select <F1> when complete. 6. The final screen displays the pack detail you have just completed. This information may now be manipulated according to your needs. If no changes are required, select <F4> (Exit) and continue creating further packs.
