This process explains how to update  Customer Order  and  Purchase Order  figures for the  Stock Enquiry  program on the availability of packs. If your company uses the Pack Availability option in the Stock Enquiry program,  you should run this program every day after you have finished entering all Customer and Purchase Orders for that day, however, you may run it at any time providing there are  no Purchase or Customer Orders being typed at the same time . If this option is not run daily, on the following day the enquiry will display figures in each column that are out of step by one day. You may set up this option to run automatically overnight. To do so, the command must first be set up in the  System Cron  by  Sterland Computing . You must then set the ' AutoStock ' flag in the System Tailoring Flags file to  'yes' . This feature (That is,  systemcron ) is available to unix users only. To update Customer Order and Purchase Order figures for the Stock Enquiry program on the availability of packs, perform the following: 1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Inventory Management'  then  'Product Maintenance'  then  'Pack Maintenance  then  'Update Pack Availability' . 2. The 'Pack Availability Recalculation' screen prompts for a date to update the pack availability. Type the date as at which to update the pack availability enquiry into the ' Date for Packs on Order ' field. 3. The program then updates Customer Order and Purchase Order figures for the Stock Enquiry program on the availability of packs.
