This process explains how to assemble kits from their components. Non-Exploding kit products defined as a normal stocked product . That is, product type = 0, MUST be assembled here as stock levels are adjusted for the Kit product when a sale is made. Non-Exploding kit products defined as non-stocked product . That is, product type = 1, do not require stock levels to be maintained for the actual Kit product because, when a sale is made for this product type, the stock levels are only adjusted for the component products, not the actual Kit product. The number of kits of this type that can be made, given the session branch stock on hand of the components can be seen in the sales programs on the existing BOM enquiry screen as this is already accessible from within Point of Sale, Sales Orders, Job Processing and Stock Enquiry. The BOM enquiry is accessible via <F8> Review then <F12> BOM. In Stock Enquiry it is accessible from the product browser - <F8> Price, then <F12> BOM. This option allows you to assemble a Kit using the previously defined component products. You need to specify the Kit and the quantity of that Kit to assemble. This in turn decreases the stock levels of the component products of the Kit and increase the stock level of the Kit product. To assemble kits from their components, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then 'Kit Maintenance' then ' Assemble Kit' . 2. Refer to the 'Assemble Kit' link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options: 3. The following message appears along the bottom of the screen and the relevant stock figures are adjusted accordingly. 'Kit has been assembled'
