This process explains how to create new kits by copying the Kit Header Product to a new product. To create new kits by copying the Kit Header Product to a new product, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then 'New Product' . 2. If you copy a kit and the kit being copied has the component cost sum flag set to 'no' then the branch cost (if zero the product standard cost is used) is copied from the original kit header to the new kit header. (This differs from Re Price Kits ). 3. If the product flag 'Retain product GP up' is set to ' yes ' or the product flag ' Retain product GP down ' is set to 'yes' then the branch sell price is calculated based on the component cost (which is either the sum of the components or the branch cost). 4. If the price is zero then the component branch sell price is calculated. 5. If the kit being copied has the 'Sell' flag set to 'no' then the sell price is changed to the branch sell (if zero the product standard sell is used). (This differs from Repricing Kits).
