This process explains how to delete those products that fall into the selected product and supplier range. The program checks whether any of the selected products have any active transactions (For example: customer or supplier orders, stock on hand and so on). Products with active transactions are bypassed by the mass delete operation. To delete those products that fall into the selected product and supplier range, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then 'Mass Update' then 'Mass Delete Products'. 2. The first screen prompts you to type the required ranges. Refer to the 'Select Range to Mass Update' collapsible link below for a screenshot and an explanation of these options. 3. From the selected criteria, you may wish to only delete a certain product type. The 'Mass Delete' screen allows you to type a specific product type. Refer to the 'Mass Delete' collapsible link below for a screenshot and an explanation of these options. 4. A warning message is displayed giving you the opportunity to back out of the deletion process. 5. Select <F5> to go ahead with the delete or select <F4> to abort the delete operation. 6. An Exceptions Report is generated detailing the products within the range that did not get deleted in the mass delete process, and the reason as to why they were not deleted. For example, stock on hand, purchase orders outstanding and so on. 7. Select the required printing/viewing option. For further information, refer to Printing Options in the ProStix Basics Training Manual - Character Mode (CHUI) or Printing Options in the ProStix Basics Training Manual - Graphical Mode (GUI)
