Through the addressing of excess stocks, slow moving products and negative stocks, a Branch Manager is really trying to get the best possible return out of their stock investment. Their success or failure at these tasks is directly reflected in their stock investment or 'Stock Valuation' compared to their sales figures. Therefore, a Branch Manager should always be aware of the amount of money they have invested in inventory. A close knowledge of their optimum valuation can also help to highlight where procedural errors have been made, leaving them with an inflated or deflated stock valuation. When Daily How 1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Inventory Management'  then  'Reporting'  then  'Stock Valuation Report' Input 2. Leave the defaults in place with the following exceptions:   Information Displayed   Actions to Take 1. Used to ensure current valuation is within budgeted levels. 2. Also used to ensure each department remains within its own budgeted level. 3. Follow up any anomalies where certain departments appear over or under normal valuation.
