| <span style="color: #003366">**PROBLEM:**</span> | E-Banking: Bank Statement Import errors. Entries come through with an incorrect sign when being imported.  The system does not appear to be recognising the Bank Statement credit. |
| <span style="color: #003366">**CAUSE:**</span> | The bank statement entry does not have the reference recognised by Prostix, or new deposit transactions have not been defined. |
| <span style="color: #003366">**SOLUTION:**</span> | This issue varies per bank. To resolve this issue, try performing the first 2 steps below, or contact Sterland to perform the last step:<br>1. Press <Enter> on an entry to display the details, then select '**F5 Rev Sign**' to reverse the signage.<br>2. Delete the entry with the incorrect sign (in this particular example, credit). Change the sign on the bank statement to the opposite of what it currently has, and then re-import only that entry.<br>3. Change the sign using a '**for each**' command. Please contact Sterland to run this command<span style="color: #333333"> to modify the signage in the background.</span><span style="color: #ff0000"> </span><br>> ❌ <span style="color: #ff0000">Steps 2 and 3 only apply to older versions of ProStix where the option F5 above is not available.</span><br>> ✅ <span style="color: #333333">When new transaction types are imported on a bank statement, the user is asked to define the transaction. For example, what processing code, if it is a debit / credit etc. This information is then stored in the E-banking transaction code miscellaneous table, and is used the next time you import that transaction type.</span><br>To add new transaction codes to the E-Banking miscellaneous table, refer to E-Banking Transaction Codes<span style="color: #003366"> in the </span>[E-Banking User Guide](https://sterlandsupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PROSTIXV48DOC/pages/31101402)<span style="color: #003366">.</span> |
