A very important part of customer service is the meeting of customer expectations in regards to delivery of goods. If a customer says they require a delivery on a particular date then we should ensure they get it on that date. Branch Managers need to be aware of any potential failures in this area and need to be actively working to ensure customer expectations are met. "The outstanding deliveries report is the most valuable report available if you want to give good service"  as it gives us a good picture of what deliveries we are committed to and allows us to ensure the required stock or vehicles are available. When Twice Daily at a minimum, first thing for Today and again at 1pm for Tomorrow. Some busier branches may need to run this more often. How 1. From the  ProStix   Main   Menu  select ' Sales   Order   Processing ' then ' Order   Reporting ' then ' Outstanding   Deliveries '. Input Choose the date required, That is, from 01/01/2000 to ' Today ' or ' Tomorrow '. Print Detail = yes. From/To Branch = yours. Include Deliveries = yes. Include Pickups = no. Information Displayed Order Number, Customer Number, Date Ordered, Delivery Date, Delivery Docket Y/N, Name & Address, customer credit status and then products ordered. Actions to Take Check off against your in-store run board to ensure all deliveries are accounted for. To make sure that at the end of the day all deliveries have been released to invoice. To ensure back orders are handled efficiently A good reckoner for the trade staff to refer to during the day A communication tool to be used by yard/delivery staff and counter/ sales staff. Call customers to discuss the rescheduling of delivery dates. Change the delivery date of the orders to match the new scheduled date. Note:  Any order showing on the report with Today's date must be delivered or must have its delivery date changed. There should be no orders dated today on the report at the end of the day.
