Goal: Importing charges are the different costs incurred when purchasing and importing goods. They can range from foreign shipping charges and insurances to customs duties, taxes or local freight costs.  Import charges can be defined as Local Charges, Foreign charges or Duties. Steps: From the ' Main Menu' select options - ' System Administration ' - ' Configuration ' - ' Miscellaneous Tables ' - ' Import Data ' - ' Import Charges '. The list of  Importing   Charges  can be edited using the standard <F5> Delete, <F6> Add and <F7> Change facilities. Note: any deletion will require a secondary <F5> to confirm deletion or any other key to cancel deletion. Pressing/Clicking <F9> Branch G/L on each of the import charges will allow the definition of the General Ledger account that is linked to the relevant import charge. Note: In an average costing system, this General Ledger account functions as a clearing account while it is an expense account when used in a nominal or standard costing system. Review:   You can now: Define importing charges.
