This process explains how to maintain the Electronic Product Catalogues (EPC) that are installed on your system. To maintain the Electronic Product Catalogues (EPC) that is installed on your system, perform the following:  1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Inventory Management'  then ' Product Maintenance ' then ' EPC Maintenance' . 2. The next screen lists the codes and the Supplier Names of all of the EPC that are currently on the system and the dates of when their file was last imported, updated and applied to stock. 3. Select the required EPC Supplier. The next screen displays a header record for the selected product and a list of all other products in the EPC. Use the arrow or the Page Down keys to scroll through the list. 4. To Add a single product to stock, select the product and select <F6> (Add to Stock). 5. If ProStix detects that the product already exists in the Product Master File (PMF), a warning message is displayed and you have the option to: 6. If the product does not exist on the PMF, the EPC information that has been imported for the product will be displayed and you can validate any fields that are not in the required form. If you can successfully add one product using this method, the Mass Load of a larger range of products should also be successful. However, note that the two processes are different processes. 7. The next screen displays information from the EPC in relation to the products that you have selected to add to the product master file. Refer to the 'EPC' collapsible link for further information. 8. Any of the displayed fields can be overridden if the information is not correct. For example, before you add the product to the PMF you can change the Product Type to reflect that it is a special product if you are ordering it for a customer. That is, Type = 7 (Special). 9. From within an EPC supplier's list of products, the <F3> (Search) enables a search to be performed within that list of products. Refer to the 'Products Search' collapsible link for an explanation of these options: 10. Details of a product that has been loaded into a supplier's EPC file can be changed by selecting that product and using the <F7> (Change) function to change one or more of the imported fields. The following fields will open up:  11. Any changes are stored in the EPC product file, not the PMF.
