The Electronic Trade Module (ETM) is a facility which enables you to send and receive business communications with your customers and suppliers. Electronic documents such as quotes and orders can be received from your customers, either directly or via a website (using ProStix Web). Customised price lists can be sent either directly to customers or to ProStix Web for their access there. As there is no universal standard for Business-to-Business (B2B) communication, the ETM allows you to define as many formats as necessary to customise communications with various business entities that you deal with. The formats can then be linked to those entities. The communications use standard HTML format which consists of a field identifier followed by the data for the field. HTML is very flexible, so various record types can be defined for the header, trailer and detail records as necessary. User Guide review and approval date: 3rd September 2010.
