Service jobs may be created by operators other than the service supervisor who is responsible for allocating service personnel. This facility provides the supervisor with a method of reporting on unallocated service jobs and assigning the tasks. To allocate service jobs to service personnel, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select ‘ Sales Order Processing ’ then ‘ Bookings ’ then ‘ Booking Processing ' then ' Job Allocation ’. 2. From the ' Allocation of Service Operators ' window, type the stage into the ' Find Stage ' field or select <F3> to search. For example, Quote Accepted, Purchase Stock, Receive Goods. 3. A list of orders (via the 'Number' column) currently assigned to this stage is displayed. 4. Select the desired order assigned to the stage, then select <enter> to display a selection of service operators defined in the work flow stages (linked to the selected stage), then select <F7> to enter a date. 5. On continuing from this display, the unallocated stage is completed, and the selected service operator stage and date is added as the next stage. 6. If you continue without at least one date and stage being selected, a warning is given that no changes will occur.
