Tallies Qty :  Key the quantity of the specified lengths being produced. Defaults to 0 for a new timber tally line. It is validated that the value does not equal zero or negative - only positive quantities are allowed. Together with the length form the timber tallies.  Length :  Key the length of the timber being produced. Together with the quantity form the timber tallies. Defaults to 0 for a new timber tally line. Validates that the length is a valid timber length (as defined in ProStix). The selected length must be unique within the tally table. NOTE: Either the tally (qty and length) OR the linear length needs to be entered.  Linear   Length :  The total linear length for the pack being created. Defaults to blank. If a linear length is entered, then no tallies are to exist.  Once the application is started, the first step is to select the branch ID. This will in turn determine the list of Milling Operators and Sales Orders than can be selected. The pack will also be produced for this selected branch.  Once the branch has been selected, the operator can select their name from the operator selection list. This operator name will be printed on the pack label and will also be recorded within the audit record produced. The operator list is restricted to those operators marked as being Mill Operators against the Prostix User ID. The Prostix User ID also has a home branch defined and it will be this branch that is used in order to create the packs against. See below for more details under the section ' User Maintenance '.  The product code and description are initially defaulted to blank values. These cannot be populated until the specie, grade and other pack details are selected and validated to ensure the pack being produced is a valid timber product on the Product Master File.  The new Pack Label creation application will initially default the list of available species and will then prompt the user for the following data in the following order:   For each of these fields, there is a list of available selections for the user to pick from. Only a single selection can be made from each.  The user can reselect any of these at any point and the data is rebuilt so the selection lists are correct.  Once all of these have been selected, the system will perform validation to ensure that what has been selected is in fact a valid product defined on the Product Master File. At this point if the pack to be produced is a valid ProStix timber product, the product code and description fields are populated. These fields are display only and cannot be updated.  If the pack to be produced is not a valid product, an appropriate error message will be produced. If the sales order value is not blank and the product to be created is a valid product, there will be validation to ensure that the sales order contains the product.  Once the product has been selected, a selection list of open Sales Orders at that branch that contain the product are displayed within the Sales Order combo box – including a blank '0' sales order number. This zero value sales order number indicates that the pack is being produced for stock and is not to be allocated to any particular sales order. If a sales order is selected, it will be recorded against the audit record for later reporting and email notification. Note that the user cannot override and enter a sales order number that is not displayed within the sales order selection list. The user may optionally enter in the sales order number that the pack is being produced for. If the sales order is left at its default value '0', no further validation upon the sales order number / product will be performed.  If all validation passes, the user will then be prompted to enter in the timber tallies of the pack being produced. They will need to create a minimum of at least one timber tally line otherwise an error message will be produced stating that no quantities / lengths have been entered.  The quantity for the tally entered must be a positive, non-zero amount. The length must be a valid defined length within ProStix. If the user chooses to not enter in individual tallies, they then must enter in a linear length. At this point the user may either: Audit Record  The audit record contains the following information:
