Goal: In this lesson you will learn how to reverse adjustments to debtor accounts. If you have processed an adjustment to an open item customer's account and you find you had done this adjustment incorrectly, you can use the Adjustment Reversal option to fix the problem.  This facility automatically reverses the entries to each of the affected transactions.    Steps: 1. From the  'Main Menu'  select options -  'Accounts Receivable' - 'Transaction Processing' - 'Enter Transactions' . 2. Press/Click <F6> if  creating a new batch . Select  'Adjustment Reversal'  as the type of batch. 3. The following screen will allow you to key the details for the adjustment reversal: Customer No:  Key the number for the customer number that needs adjusting. Previous Batch:  Key the original batch number. The batch must have been completed. Previous Account:  If the original adjustment was made to a General Ledger account, key the G/L account number that the adjustment was made to. Leave this field blank to reverse the adjustment from the bank G/L account. Reference No:  Key the reference number for the original adjustment. This number references the original transaction e.g. an invoice number or a receipt number. Adjustment Amount:  Key the amount of the adjustment reversal. 4. When you have finished keying adjustment reversals, Complete the Batch and then Post Transactions.   Review: You can now:  · Reverse adjustments to Open Item and Balance Forward customer accounts.
