Goal: This option displays more detailed information about the Customer Master File. Steps: B/F Open Item:  Describes whether this is a balance forward  B  or open item  O  customer.  Order No Reqd:  Displays whether this customer requires their purchase order numbers to be printed on their invoices.  Customer Group:  Displays the Customer Group to which this customer has been assigned. A Customer Group is a way of grouping like customers together, e.g. builders, plumbers.  Discount Group:  Displays the Discount Group to which this customer has been assigned. A Discount Group is a way of grouping customers who attract the same level of discount e.g. builders may receive 2.5% whereas plumbers may receive 5%.  Sales Rep No : Refers to the number of the salesman that has been assigned to this customer.  Settlement Dis:  Displays whether this customer attracts settlement discount for early payment.  Casual Account:  displays whether this customer is a casual accounts, i.e. deleted once the balance reaches zero.  Print Statement:  Displays whether a printed monthly statement is required for this customer.  Master Account:  Displays the customer number for the store e.g. the head office customer number to which this customer's monthly statements are to be forwarded. Some larger businesses prefer their monthly statements to go to one location e.g. Head Office.  Invoice Type:  Displays the format in which this specific customers invoices are to print. Valid types are as follows:    · D print full order details · S print a summary of the sections contained on the order · J print a job summary only.  Aust Company No :  Displays the customer's ACN if one has been recorded.  Provisional Discount:  Displays whether this customer has been set up as a provisional discount customer in the Customer Master File.  NuVu Output Pref:  This field shows the customer's preferred method of receiving documents such as Invoices & Statements.    · E - Email the documents to the customer.  · F - Fax the documents to the customer.  · P or Blank - Print the documents to the selected printer.  Note: This field is only utilised if the NuVu  Blast  Option is selected from the list of  Printing Options .    Account Supervisor:  Displays the name of the person within your organisation that has been assigned to this customer to supervise credit controlling. This field is used for reporting purposes.  Account Type:  Displays the type of account held by this customer:    A - Account B - Lay-By C - Cash D - Cash on Delivery H - Hire Purchase L - Loan F - Interest Free I - Insurance M - Miscellaneous Z - Bad Debt R - Debt Reduction S - Share Holder.    Internal Accnt:  Displays whether this an Internal Branch Transfer customer.  Branch Transfer:  Displays whether the branch transfer system used for internal sales.  GST:  Displays whether Goods and Services Tax is applicable to this customer.  Account Fee:  Displays whether to charge this customer with an account keeping fee each month. These fees are applied by using the Administration Fees program under the Month End Processing menu.  Interest Charge:  Displays whether to charge this customer with interest on overdue amounts each month. This interest charge is applied by using the Administration Fees program under the Month End Processing menu.  Age Period:  If interest is to be charged to this customer, this field will display the age period in days from which interest is to be charged.  Territory:  Displays which Sales Territories as defined in the Define Territories program on the System Set-up menu that this customer belongs to. A Sales Territory is a way in which customers from the same geographic area may grouped together for the purpose  of sales reporting.  Password:  A password may be set on the Customer Master File to stop unauthorised persons from charging goods to the account. The customer will be required to enter their password for any over the counter sales. The password is blanked out in customer enquiry, although it can be seen in Customer Maintenance for those who have security rights to maintain customers.  Hide Price POS:  Displays whether to hide prices on Point of Sale dockets for this customer.  Inv. with goods:  Displays whether this customer requires an invoice with every delivery. If this is the case, an invoice will be printed at the time the order is released in the Sales Order Processing program.  Promotions:  Displays whether this customer participates in external promotions.  Export Customer:  Displays if this Customer's transactions are primarily Exports. Sales to export customers will be exempt from GST.  No House starts:  Displays the number of houses a builder builds per year. This then gets used when exported to BI (Business Intelligence) to calculate the Whole Of House segment sales analysis.
