Once you select contract maintenance, you are presented with a list of contracts. 1. Select a contract to maintain. 2. Select the option to maintain the contract details. 3. Select <F8> Vol Disc while positioned on a product. You can add, change and delete volume discounts here. When in a job contract where you can only add certain branches to a contract because of your security, if you try to add a contract volume discount for a branch, then the branch is checked to see if it is on this contract. If it  isn't  then you cannot add the branch volume discount. If it  is  on the contract then your security access to  this  branch is not checked at this point. This means that your branch security is not checked if the contract is for all branches (which would include customer contracts). Field Descriptions     Those products that have volume discounts attached have a ' V' underneath the product (on the second line).  You can type in either the discount percentage, sell price or GP percentage. The other fields are calculated depending on which one you type.  Negative discounts are not permitted (so if the calculated result is a negative discount – if you had entered in a sell price or GP% - this causes an error message and you have to change it).  If you select <F5> Delete for any of the lines where a volume discount is attached, then the volume discounts is automatically deleted at the same time.  When you select a contract to maintain, the contract with the options available is presented. If you select the option to delete the contract from here or from the initial screen with the contract headers listed, then the volume discounts are removed for any lines on the contract that have volume discounts attached.
