'Slow Moving Stock' can arise due to changes in building practices, customer preferences or simply due to cancelled orders. Regardless of how it arises, slow moving stock is a burden on your branch financial position and therefore on the Company financial position. A Branch Manager firstly needs to be aware of what stock fits this criteria and then put in place a plan to clear the stock. This will result in higher overall stock performance figures. When Monthly How From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Inventory Management', then 'Reporting', then 'Stock Reports', then 'Slow Moving Stock'. Input Leave the defaults in place with the following exceptions: Date Last Sale = 12 months previous From - To Branch = yours Exclude Zero = yes If too many products list on the report, the date last sale &/or product groups can be restricted further to reduce the amount of data. Information Displayed   Shows the details of products that you are stocking that have not sold in the specified period. This means that you have an investment in stock at your branch that is not working for you, dragging your overall inventory performance figures down. Actions to Take Find Stock. Count the stock to ensure inventory figures are correct. Make the stock more prominent in the hope of stimulating sales. Attempt to return the stock to supplier or transfer to another branch if they do sell the product. Set up a branch promotion to clear the stock if all other attempts fail.
