Trading Partner Codes It is important to establish a naming convention for files. The easiest way is to incorporate an 8 character code made up of two 4 character codes identifying you and your trading partner.   Here are some sample codes:  Buyers   Suppliers HIWG File Naming The filename and/or extension identifies the type of electronic document being sent/received. Those currently in use are:    Global Location Numbers Identification of trading partners and locations is done by way of the Global Location Number (GLN) of your branch(s) and your supplier(s).
