Please note: As at 12th December, 2014 , the Chain Of Custody module only works with products that have Lineal Metre (LM) or Cubic Metre (M3) Unit Of Measure (UOM). At this point in time, the Chain Of Custody module does not work with Each (EA) UOM. This option allows you to maintain the Chain of Custody information for products.  In Phase 2, in order to supply products with Chain of Custody that are not packs, a list of the available schemes for each product is needed.  When a pack is broken and the chain of custody is no longer held at the pack level, the scheme is added to the available list of schemes for the product.  A national approach to implement the banking is being taken but to allow for future flexibility the type of scheme and a branch default scheme can be held against the product at the branch level. A scheme should only be defined at the branch level if the banking is not done on a national scale. There are three levels of complying with the Chain of Custody which are fully compliant (via the banking system); not fully compliant but certified - packs can be ordered; or this product can never be ordered to meet timber certification requirements. At this point in time the banking system will be used for loose stock. Control over whether the product is certified or not will be a manual process. Provided enough certified packs are receipted into stock to equal or exceed the Sales Orders that required certified timber this is sufficient to say the product is complying with Chain of Custody. There may be some Timber Products that can never be ordered from a certified source. These products should be marked as never certified so that if this product is ordered by a customer requesting certified timber the operator is able to let the customer know that this is not available at the earliest opportunity.  The Branch Stock Data certificate status cannot be changed to Never or N/A unless there are no Outstanding Customer Orders or non-expired Quotes for this product where the customer has specified certified stock. Where the product is only ordered in packs this will only be a warning, as the requirement for certified timber can be maintained at pack allocation.  Product Level Maintenance 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then < select a product> then 'More Data' then 'Certification'. 2.
