From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Systems Administration' then 'Configuration' then 'Miscellaneous Tables' then 'Delivery Data'. All of the tables related to order delivery have been grouped under the 'Delivery Data' heading. There are 6 options available, some of which are new and others which have been amended: Delivery Areas The delivery area information is captured at the time of order entry. However, this information can also be maintained through the Transport Scheduling screen once the order is typed if required. A delivery area can now be applicable to all branches if required, with the ability also to link a delivery fee to a particular area. Map Ref allows you to allocate valid map references to a delivery area. If the System Tailoring Flag 'DelMapForc' is set to 'Yes' then when a sale is being created, the system enforces the validation of the delivery area based on the map reference. A companion System Tailoring Flag 'DelAreaForc' enforces delivery data when the delivery type is 'delivery' (that is, the sale is not a type of 'customer pickup') or a quote. Delivery Area Map Reference All the Map references entered via the Map Ref function in Delivery Areas can be viewed here. Existing entries can have their code changed, and be deleted. Despatch Types The despatch types option allows you to define methods in which goods can be despatched. No changes have been made to this option. Load Types The load type information is captured at the time of order entry. However, this information can also be maintained through the Transport Scheduling screen once the order is keyed if required. The load type allocated to an order informs the transport scheduler about what type of materials are contained within the order. Transport Company The transport company information is captured at the time of order entry. However, this information can also be maintained through the Transport Scheduling screen once the order is typed if required. Vehicles The Vehicle information is captured at the time of order entry. However, this information can also be maintained through the Transport Scheduling screen once the order is typed if required.
