In this lesson you will learn how customers accrue points when paying their accounts on time.  Accumulate Points for Account Paymentat POS Pre-conditions:  1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Point of Sale'  then  'Till Operations'  then  'Cash Receipt'  then  'Account Payment'. 2. Choose the customer and the amount. 3. Type the amount into the Cash or Cheque fields and you are then prompted to enter the Tender Type. 4. Select a Tender Type that is linked to a Rewards Program. If the Tender Type was set up with 'Prompt for Voucher No' =  'yes',  then the a prompt to enter the voucher number appears next. The system then: Business Rules:  Accumulate points for direct credit payments during Ebanking Reconciliation  Pre-conditions:  Customer must be participating in a Rewards points program.  Business Rules:  Accumulate Points on Accounts Receivable batch Payments Pre-conditions:  Customer must be participating in a Rewards points program.  Business Rules:  e.g. payment amount of $100 (rewards percentage 10%):  Credit Rewards Points for refund or return  There is a facility to credit rewards points in the case of a cash refund or return at POS.  Pre-conditions :  1. From the  ProStix Main Menu  select  'Point of Sale'  then  'Till Operations'  then  'Cash Sale Refund',  enter the reason for the return/refund, and choose the invoice. Then choose to end the sale. 2. If points are selected as the tender type: If you enter 'Other' tender amount that is a reward type then the system checks that the points being refunded match or are less than the original points used on the sale. The system notifies you if points are invalid and re-prompts for tender. If the point refund is valid, the system adjusts the customer's reward point balance and creates the reward transaction. 3. If cash is selected as the tender type: If you entered any non-reward tender amounts then the system checks if the original sale was paid for with points, if so the system does not allow cash to be refunded.
