The contract maintenance programs cater for future contract pricing.  As with all the other future pricing features, future contract pricing is only available where a valid FeatureFUT code ('System Administration' then 'Configuration' then 'Tailoring Options' then 'Codes (Characters))' is present. The changes have been made for both the customer contract and national contract options.  There is a field in the Contract Header labeled 'Review Freq'. It is a 2-digit field and its purpose is to indicate the number of months between contract review dates. Once entered, a list of review dates in the monthly intervals entered is displayed on the screen.    Maintaining Future Contract Prices Future contract pricing can be maintained for products and product groups within a contract by selecting the 'Contract Details' option and pressing the <F7> key. This then presents you with the usual current contract price screen and a contract review screen which can be accessed via the <F9> key.  When in add mode, the review date automatically populates with the next available review date (as per the review frequency months) but may be over-ridden if required. Type the future contract price details for the selected product. As for other maintenance programs, use <F7> to change a record and <F5> to delete.  Product Pricing Information Screen When you select a product to maintain, a pricing information screen appears in the top right corner of the screen. This information screen includes future pricing information. For Customer contracts this includes branch and group discount pricing. For National contracts it only includes future standard pricing.  For Customer Contracts the screen has the following information:  For National Contracts the screen has the following information:    Future Customer Review There is an option within contract maintenance that allows you to enquire on what future price would be possible based upon different discount scenarios.  On selecting the option a screen with the following information appears:  After completing the above fields, the enquiry screen appears. Each product on the contract is displayed, and for each of those products where a future price exists ('Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then 'Future Pricing') a hypothetical future contract price is displayed below it.  From within this screen you can maintain the future contract prices. For more information see the section under, 'Maintaining Future Contract Prices via Future Customer Review'. Note : A future price line is not displayed for product groups, or for any product that does not have a future price record defined in 'Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then 'Future Pricing'.   Maintaining Future Contract Prices via Future Customer Review Once the future customer review enquiry screen has been displayed (see option 'Future Customer Review' above) the user may drill down on any product that has a future price line displayed and maintain the future contract pricing for that product. To maintain future pricing this way, press either <Enter> or select <F7> on the required product.  The only part of the screen which can be maintained through this option is the future contract pricing screen which is in the bottom left corner (for more information on future contract pricing please see the section under 'Maintaining Future Contract Prices').  The remaining information is for enquiry purposes only and consists of the current contract pricing (top left), the up-coming review dates as per the review frequency (bottom right) and the product pricing information screen (top right). The fields for which have been defined below:  Contract Mass Add and Mass Update The Contract Mass Add and Mass Update options also allow future contract prices to be updated in a similar way to current contact prices.  Mass Add There is an indicator on the mass add screen to show if you are maintaining current contract records or future contract records.  Note : If you are maintaining future contract pricing, the indicator shows the applicable date that you are maintaining as opposed to 'current', which indicates current contract pricing is maintained.  MassAddingFutureContractRecords 1. For future contract records, you firstly need to enter the relevant contract name. After entering the contract name a function key appears at the bottom of the screen labelled <F9> Future.  2. If the contract you selected is valid for multiple customers, then selecting <F9> prompts the following message: 'Error - This contract exists for Multiple Customers. Cannot determine correct review dates. Enter a single customer number and try again.'  4. Type the relevant customer number in both the 'Customer No. From' and 'Customer No. To' fields. The system is then able to determine the list of future review dates to display. Things to Note:  ApplyFutureContractPrices There is a flag in the 'Apply New Prices' program ('Inventory Management' then 'Product Maintenance' then 'Apply New Prices') labeled 'Contract Prices'. This field defaults to the value set for System Tailoring Flag 'InvAFPDCon' but may be overridden if required. If set to 'yes', when run any future contract prices for the date specified becomes the current contract prices, and the future contract price record for that date is removed from the future contract pricing screen.  Note : The flag 'InvAFPDCon' is also observed by the 'Day End Procedures' program if the 'Future Price Apply' is set to run as an overnight batch job.  ContractReviewRepor t This report shows a list of customer contracts or national contracts based on review frequency.  This report may be accessed via 'Inventory Management' then 'Special Pricing' then 'Pricing Reports'.   The report selection screen is as follows:  Note : If ' C' is selected it only includes contracts within the range where  all  future contract prices have been defined for all products within the contract.
