This facility expires points in Customer Rewards programs that have not been used after a certain number of months (For example: 24 months).  Added a date to all rewards transactions to store the expiry date. When a rewards transaction is created it gets an expiry date which is the last day of the month of that transaction date + expiry period it falls into. Pre-existing rewards transactions in the system get an expiry date which is the last day of the month of the implementation date + expiry period it falls into. A scheduled task that checks all rewards transaction expiry dates and expires the transactions that fall after the 'reward expiry last check' and before or on today's date. Points that expire unused are traceable through an 'expired unused' reward point transaction type. All rewards transactions are shown on the reward point enquiry screen, including expired unused points and expired reward accruals.  1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Accounts Receivable' then 'Customer Rewards' then 'Rewards Programs'. 2. Select an existing program. 3. Use <F7> to change the 'Exp Perd' (Expiry Period) to the number of months you want, for example, 24.  4. A conversion program 'recuconvrew.p' needs to be run from 'System Administration' then 'Utilities' then 'Run a Program' on the day of implementation to add expiry dates to current rewards transactions in the system. 5. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Accounts Receivable' then 'Customer Rewards' then 'Rewards Expiry'. 6. Use <F6> to create a new scheduled task to expire the points. 7. Use <F8> to set the task status to 'current' and <F12> to schedule the frequency that the task is to be run.
