Scheduled Notification Tasks check on system events and create entries in the Event Log that are eventually picked up the the Notification Engine so that notifications are sent out. Defining a Scheduled Notification Task from the System Services Menu links together an event and the eventual notification recipient. To maintain event types, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'System Services' then 'Notification System' then 'Notification Tasks'. 2. The 'Scheduled Notification Tasks' screen is displayed with a list of Notification Tasks that have been previously setup. 3. To add a scheduled Notification Task , select <F6> (Add) where you are prompted to type the following information: 4. After entering the above information, you are then prompted with the available parameters for the selected event. For example: SOH Below Minimum Notifications From Branch: 001 To Branch: 999 Group Messages: Defaults to 'No'. The next step in setting up a scheduled notification is to select the person(s) who are to receive the notification. The options are to send ProStix mail to: 6.
