The Electronic Trade Module (ETM) is a facility which enables you to send and receive business communications with your customers and suppliers.  Electronic documents such as quotes and orders can be received from your customers, either directly or via a website (using ProStix Web). Customised price lists can be sent either directly to customers or to ProStix Web for their access there.  Electronic documents such as Purchase Orders can be sent to your suppliers, and Creditors Invoices and Purchase Order Confirmations can be imported from them. Electronic Price Catalogues (EPC) can also be imported from suppliers, so your product file is not cluttered up with products that you sell, but don't stock. It enables you to offer entire product ranges from your suppliers to your customers while keeping the product master file down to a manageable size..  From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Electronic Trade Module' Imports can be setup to look for electronic communications being received in a particular directory at scheduled times and then either import them to a holding area for review, or if from a trusted system, process them and update the ProStix database automatically.    Notifications can be setup to inform particular staff members when a particular type of electronic communication has been received or sent.    E-mail addresses can be defined and attached to particular business entities.    Some business entities require electronic acknowledgement (ack) that the communication has been received. The ETM can do this and also receive acknowledgements from other entities that support this functionality.    The ETM is also used to send/receive data to/from the ProStix TouchPOS tills.
