Notification addresses for output documents are chosen according to the following hierarchy:     1. If there is a notification address recorded in Output Document Settings, this address is used.   2. If the branch setting 'Notify Original Document Sender' = 'Yes' and the user id who initiated the document output from the tracking log:   i. Has an e-mail address then this address will be used. ii.. Does not have an e-mail address then sets the notification address to the ProStix user id.   3. If the branch ETM document defaults specify a notification address then this address is used. Notification addresses for input documents are chosen according to the following hierarchy: 1. If there is a notification address recorded against the input location rule (file name, content, or e-mail rule) used to identify the file then this address is used. 2. If the branch setting 'Notify Original Document Sender' = 'Yes' then check if there is a related document id:  i. If a related document id is set, looks for a tracking entry in the ETM tracking log for the related document (for example, 'PURCHASE-ORDER') and the same document reference (for example purchase order number 5047625) as the document being imported. Sets the notification address for the document being imported to the same notification address as the original document. ii. If a related document id is not set, sets the notification address to the user initiating the document import  or  if the document import is initiated by the ETM input location scan, sets the notification address to the branch ETM document default address.   3. If the branch ETM document defaults specify a notification address then this address is used.
