All these figures can be used to prepare the right hand side of the calculation sheet on the Business Activity Statement. Reconciling the BAS Worksheet using the Detailed Report Refer to Attachment A for the examples of figures used in the above BAS Worksheet. G10 Capital Acquisitions. This figure of $1,800 is derived from the total value of Capital Purchases, if you look at Attachment A, Page 1 (Creditor Purchases), there is an amount of $300 being reported in Total column for Capital, if you then look at Page 2 (G/L Purchases) there is an amount of $1,500 being reported in the Total column for Capital, add these two figures together and they should equal what is being reported in G10 on the BAS Worksheet. Formula: Total G/L Purchases Capital + Total Creditor Purchases Capital = G10. G11 Other Acquisitions. = Total value of all other Purchases other than Capital (note: inc). To reconcile this amount back to the detailed report you need to 1 - add the total amounts being reported in the Amount column for G/L Purchases + Creditor Purchases + Other Purchases (note: include GST paid total for Other purchases only). 2 - then minus the total Not Reported amounts and total Capital amounts being reported for G/L Purchases + Creditor Purchases + Other purchases. Note: (this has changed since Sept 03). Formula: Total Amount minus Total Capital minus Total Not Reported = G11. G12 Total Acquisitions. This figure is derived from the total of G10 + G11.   G13 Input Taxed. This figure of $2,000 is derived from the total value of Input Taxed Purchases or Transactions, if you look at Attachment A, Page 1 (Creditor Purchases), there is an amount of $2,000 being reported in the Total column for Input Taxed, this total should equal what is being reported in G11 on the BAS Worksheet. Formula: Total G/L Purchases Input Taxed + Total Creditor Purchases Input Taxed = G13.  G14 GST Free. This figure of $444 is derived from the total value of GST Free Purchases, if you look at Attachment A, Page 1 (Creditor Purchases), there is an amount of $444 being reported in the Total column for Tax Free, this total should equal what is being reported in G14 on the BAS Worksheet. Formula: Total G/L Purchases Tax Free + Total Creditor Purchases Tax Free = G14. G15 Non Deductible. This figure of $1,200 is derived from the total value of Non Deductible Purchases or transactions, if you look at Attachment A, Page 2 (G/L Purchases), there is an amount of $1,200 being reported in the Total column for Non Deductible, this total should equal what is being reported in G15 on the BAS Worksheet. Formula: Total G/L Purchases Non Deductible + Total Creditor Purchases Non Deductible = G15. G16 Total Non Creditable. This figure of $3,644 is derived from the total of G13 + G14 + G15. To reconcile this amount back to the detailed report look at Attachment A, Page 1, there is an amount of $444 being reported in the Total column for Tax Free, an amount of $2,000 being reported in the Total column for Input Taxed, now look at Page 2, there is an amount of $1,200 being reported in the Total column for Non Deductible, you need to add all these figures together and this figure should match what is being reported in G16. Formula: Total Tax Free + Total Input Taxed + Total Non Deductible = G16. G17 Total Creditable. This figure of $3,063.20 is derived from the total of G12 (Total Acquisitions) minus G16 (Total Non Creditable). To reconcile this figure back to the detailed report look at Attachment A, Page 1 (Creditor Purchases), there is an amount of $4,527.20 being reported in the Total column for Amount, now look at Page 2 (G/L Purchases), there is an amount of $3,200 being reported in the Total column for Amount, add these two amounts figures together which will give you a total of $7,727.20, now look at Page 1 again and subtract the total from the Not Reported column of $520, then subtract the total from the Tax Free column of $444, then subtract the total from the Input Taxed column of $2,000, now look at page 2 and subtract the total from the Not Reported column of $500 and then subtract the total from the Non Deductible column of $1,200 and you should get a total of $3,063.20. Formula: Total Amount minus Total Not Reported minus Total Tax Free minus Total Input Taxed minus Total Non Deductible = G17. G18 Adjustments. This figure of $25.19 is derived from the total value of Settlement Discounts – GST Adjustments processed for the selected period, if you look at Attachment A, Page 3 (Settlement Discount – GST Adjustments), there is an amount of $25.19 being reported in the Total column for Discount, this total should equal what is being reported in G18 on the BAS Worksheet. Formula: Total Discount = G18. G19 Total Credits + Adjustments. This value of $3,038 is derived from the total of G17 (Total Creditable) minus G18 (Adjustments).  G20 Total GST Credit. This figure is based on one eleventh of G19. To reconcile this figure back to the Detailed Report look at Attachment A, Page 1 (Creditor Purchases), there is an amount of $142.09 being reported in the Total column for GST Paid, now look at Page 2 (G/L Purchases), there is an amount of $136.36 being reported in the Total column for GST Paid, you need to add these two figures together which will give you a total of $278.45, now look at Page 3 (Settlement Discount-GST Adjustments) and there is an amount of $2.29 being reported in the Total column for GST Adjustment, you need to subtract this adjustment amount of $2.29 from the total GST Paid amount of $278.45 which will give you a total amount of $276.18. Formula: Total GST Paid minus Total GST Adjustment = G20.
