New Shareholder To create a new shareholder perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Accounts Receivable' then 'Customer Maintenance'   2. You are presented with the 'Options' screen Note: This has been modified to allow users to nominate newly created customers as shareholders.  If FeatureSHR is activated, the system asks you if the new customer is a shareholder. Typing ' No ' proceeds to the Customer Maintenance screen as normal.  Typing ' Yes ' opens the Shareholder Details screen: All other fields match the fields ordinarily used when creating new customers.  Once you have filled all desired fields and selected <F1>, the system prints a Shareholder Approval Form and ask you if the new shareholder has signed the form yet.  The system then creates a New Member transaction that has a status of 'Pending' or 'Suspended', depending on whether the customer has or has not signed, respectively.  The system then proceeds to the Customer Maintenance screen. A new shareholder's Account Type defaults to Cash Card Holder.  You can change this to Standard Debtor if required. Change Shareholder Name Customer Maintenance has been modified so that if a you change a customer's name, the system checks to see if the customer is a shareholder.  If so, the system creates a Name Change share transaction and warn you that the change does not take effect until the transaction is approved.  After you enter OK on the warning, the system prints a Shareholder Approval form and prompt you to confirm whether the shareholder has signed or not.  The Name Change transaction has a status of 'Pending' if the shareholder has signed, 'Suspended' if not. The system changes the customer's name if and when the Name Change transaction is approved. If the customer is not a shareholder, the system works the same way as before.
