If the company cannot contact inactive shareholders to refund their deposit, they can write the deposit off. To write off inactive deposits, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select ' Shareholder Register ' then 'Inactive Member Processing' then 'Write Off Inactive Deposits' 2. The 'Customer Shareholder Program' screen is displayed. 3. Type the shareholder program name, then select . Search is available. 4. The 'Write Off Inactive Deposits' screen is displayed. Refer to the ' Write Off Inactive Deposits ' collapsible link below for a screenshot and an explanation of the options. 5. You are presented with a warning asking if you are sure you want to write off all deposits for customers who have been inactive for the amount of time you have specified. 6. If you enter ' yes ' here, the system creates pending Write Off transactions for every shareholder on the program who has been inactive for the specified period.
