Stocktaking is performed with the PDE by scanning an item off the shelf, then entering a count quantity.   To scan your organisation's products with your PDE device, perform the following: Squeeze the trigger to power on the PDE unit, You see the following screen: 2. Toggle the red ‘select’ button downwards once to display the below set of screen options, select the ‘Batch’ option, then select the red ‘Select’ button. 3. Press the trigger to scan the product bar code. 4. If the product bar code is read successfully, you hear an audible beep from the device, and then the screen asks for the product quantity. 5. Working from the Barcode Quantity sheet in  Appendix A - Barcode Quantity sheet , scan the appropriate quantity, then scan the ' Confirm/Enter ' barcode before continuing to the next product to scan.   For example:  If the quantity = 1, scan barcode quantity 1. If the quantity = 100, scan barcode 1 followed by barcode 0 and barcode 0. 6. If you have entered in an incorrect quantity, scan the ' Back Space ' barcode per numeric, then recommence scanning the correct quantity. For example, If you incorrectly entered 100, simply scan the 'Back Space' barcode 3 times and start again. 7. Once you have scanned all your products, you then transfer the PDE Product data into ProStix. Refer to  Transferring PDE product data into ProStix
