After you have completed scanning and counting your stock with your PDE device, you then transfer the scanned data from your PDE device into ProStix.  To transfer the scanned data from your PDE device into ProStix, you first need to ensure ProStix is ready to receive the data from the PDE. To setup ProStix, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'Inventory Management ' then ' Stock Control ' then ' Stocktake ' then ' Download from PDE Device '. 2. From the ' Download from PDE ' window, select option ' Stock Take Data ' to open the PDE Batch Entry screen. To transfer PDE product data into ProStix, perform the following: 1. Select the 'R' button on the PDE device. 2. Using the red toggle button (in the centre of the PDE device), toggle to the 'Transmit Data' option, then press the red button and place the PDE into the cradle. 3. Transmit the data from your PDE device by performing the following: i. Select the L button on the PDE device. ii. The PDE now says ' Transmission completed' . iii. The ' PDE Entry ' screen in ProStix is then populated with the barcodes and quantities that were scanned. ProStix also validates the data and retrieves the product description and unit of measure (UoM) from the Product Master file. iv. Select the ' R' (function) button on the PDE device to return to Batch screen. v.   You must clear all existing records before proceeding to the scan more products, otherwise the next batch of scanned product data includes all records previously entered, including  any new records. To clear all existing records, use the red toggle button and toggle up to the ' Delete all Record(s) ' option, select the red toggle button again, then select the 'L' (Yes) button to confirm deletion. The PDE says ' Records Deleted '. vi. Select the R button and the R button again. vii. You are now able to scan your next batch of products.   4. You now have the option to complete a stock take, perform stock take receipting and/or perform multi-supplier Purchase Orders as per the processes below.
