There are a number of areas where you can manipulate the data during the process of importing the supplier data into Excel: 1.  In Excel  -  Note: any changes made here need to be repeated every time you receive this supplier file. 2. In the  Import Utility . 3. In  ETM Data Translations  - This translates the data as it is loaded into the EPC. All fields can be translated. 4. In the  EPC Cross References  - The raw data is held in the EPC and changed as loaded to your product file, only limited values can be changed. Because each Supplier's data comes in a different form, you have to determine the best tools to use when validating each file according to its content and format.  This requires practice and a clear understanding of the data available from your Supplier as there is no single answer (as demonstrated by the variety of ways that suppliers present their information.) There is no standard way that a Supplier presents data.  This is why you need to create a different format in the Import Utility for each Supplier and then manipulate the data that you are sending to this format so that it is interpreted as you expect.
