1. From the **ProStix Main Menu**, select '**System Administration**' then '**Security**' then '**Define Users'** then '**Define Users**'.
2. Enter the 'User ID' for the new user into the '**User - id**:' field.
> ✅ The User ID is an eight character alpha-numeric field. You can use any unique combination of characters to identify the user. It is common to use the first name of each user, followed by the first initial of their surname if necessary to make it unique.
3. Select either '**Create New User'** to set up the user's details from scratch, or '**Copy Existing user**' to copy the details from an existing ProStix user.
