CAUSE: An interim year end has been processed in the General Ledger module and the user trying to post a journal does not have the security access that allows them to post to a 'Closed Year'. SOLUTION: To resolve this issue, the user(s) in question need to be given access to post to a Closed GL Year. Perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'System Administration' then 'Security' then 'Define Users' 2. Type the 'User ID' into the 'User ID' Field then select <F1> until you reach the screen below. 3. <Arrow> to the 'Closed G/L Year' security flag then type 'yes' (tick for ProStix GUI), then select <F1>. Note : This only applies to Interim Closed Years, no user is allowed to post to a fully closed year.   4. After the user has posted their journal you can set the users 'Closed G/L Year' flag back to 'no' as required. Don't forget to run another interim year close to include the journal in the balances that have been rolled forward .     FOR FURTHER INFORMATION REFER TO: General Ledger User Guide Define Users in the System Administration User Guide .
