A Discount Group is a way of grouping customers who attract the same level of discount. For example, plumbers may attract a 2.5% discount while builders may attract 5%. To create/maintain Discount Groups, perform the following: 1. From the ProStix Main Menu select 'System Administration' then 'System Set-up' then 'Define Discount Groups' . 2. The 'Discount Groups' screen lists the discount groups that have been pre-defined. Refer to the 'Discount Groups' collapsible link for a screenshot and an explanation of these options: 3. Use the <F5> Delete, <F6> Add and <F7> Change function keys to update the Discount Groups table. 4. If you select <F5>, a message appears in the function bar: "The system is checking that the discount group does not have any active customers attached to the group before deleting it."
